Who are we?

Over the years equipment sale and leaseback or asset re-finance has been available on a limited basis in the UK. As it is not a service offered by the high street finance houses it has been left to a small number of independent lessors to provide this very specialist service. Burton Sweet Asset Finance can arrange this type of funding whilst at the same time providing both guidance and impartial advice on how this service might benefit your company.

Why use Sale and Leaseback?

Simply because it is one of the easiest ways of:

  • Reducing your overdraft
  • Providing working capital
  • Supporting expansion
  • Aiding an MBO or MBI
  • Releasing cash

What assets can be re-financed?

All types of equipment can be used for a sale and leaseback:

  • Cars and light commercials - up to a maximum of 4 years old
  • HGV's and Coaches
  • Print based equipment
  • Engineering equipment - specifically major items such as CNC based items
  • Any other type of equipment, which has a long working life

What assets cannot be re-financed?

  • I.T. equipment
  • Office Furniture
  • Small items with a value of less than £5000
  • CCTV, Partitioning, Air-conditioning systems
  • Any other type of non-tangible equipment

How much can be raised?

Minimum advance is £20,000 with no upward limit but please note that the level of the advance is usually based on the forced sale value of the equipment. For example equipment with a written down value of say £100,000 may only be the subject of an advance of £60k or £70k depending on how its value is holding up in the market place.
