Cecile is a specialist in charity and company law, who provides a range of legal advisory and consultancy services. She has particular expertise in relation to the Charities and Companies Acts 2006; the practical implications of the legal and regulatory regimes for charities in England and Wales and in Scotland; the governance of charities and not-for-profit entities and constitutional issues relevant to them.
Cecile serves as a trustee in a voluntary capacity for several local charities, so she has considerable understanding of and empathy with clients and the trustees/directors and secretaries of charities, as well as with their professional advisers.
In her spare time Cecile is a birder and loves spending time showing members of the public the magnificent peregrine falcons that breed in the Avon Gorge. She also enjoys classical music and is a lifelong Bristol City fan.
